Welcome, Cavka,
Thank's for this nice and complete documentation.
Do you prepare a scale model ?
what will be the range of the scale reduction ?
Nice job.

Hello Cavka,
...welcome here at Retroplane...
Thank you for this interesting drawings and pics
I`m looking forward to see more gliders
M.Simons wrote in his books that gliding was very popular during the 50´s in Yugoslavia.
Regards
Walter

Thanx,
Yes, i considering build of the 1:6 scale RC model .
M.Simons is right, gliding is quite polular in1950s/1960s here and lot of domestic gliders were built in large quantities as well some licence built ones, like starting withGB II, Weihe, Kranich , and later ,finishing with Std Cirrus/Cirrus 17/DG 100/DG 300.
Gliding is popularised and financed through National Aero Club and the result is high number of sailplane pilots schooled (including myself, since 1982).

Hello CAVKA,
Very interesting gliders have been designed in Yougoslavia in the fifties like for example Kosava, Orao, Meteor... that can be very original subjects for scale model. But these gliders aren't well known in West Europe. Do you have some documentation about these gliders ?

I think the Cavka was the yugoslavian version of the polish WWS1-Salamandra, wasn't it? At least, it has the same configuration. Later, the Salamandra also inspired the finnish Pik-5
I have some other pictures of it:
Nice glider!

Yes, was probably inspired by Salamandra fuselage configuration, with tail boom implemented instead the two part aft fuselage configuration.
But its completely new construction.
Also, two more sailplanes were produced using Cavka main wings and tailplane.
Munja(Lightning), single seater, with new fuselage, just prototype built. Wings and tailplane retained from Cavka.
Roda (Stork), two seater, metal (or wooden) fuselage, Wings and tailplane retained from Cavka. Built in series.
