Another Kranich II !

Hello !

I would like to share some of my building experience that came with the project "Kranich II".

First of all some historic data about the real plane. The aero club that is located at our local sport airport, just over 500m from my house, owned one of this planes. So that was the main reason that I decided to try to replicate the original plane as an rc model. In slovenian it was called Žerjav.

Here are two pictures from that time...








At this moment teh original plane is being restored by group of old plane entuziasts.

I am slowly finishing the project. Some minor things around the canopy should be done to finsh. The building is described at our Sloveninan forum at :

There was some work done on the canopy frame.

Strips of 1mm ply were prepaired "al dente" and glued together..




before final touch...

The canopy is finished ...




There is still some work to be done regarding closing the"nose" where the lead weights are and covering the fuselage with oratex.

Hello !

It is model built by plan from FMT Magazine. There is one building log already opened, so I opened a new one. Some data about my model :

wingspan : 3.6m
lenght : 1.54 m
weight : 4.2 kg ( there will be added some initial weight in the nose, so I think the overall weight will be around 4.5kg)
profile : MVA 227

And some "final" pictures in my back yard. I hope the next photos will be from successful first flight ...
