Hi Márton

wellcome to the forum. I see that you are moving quite fast with your constrcution. Please update us with the advancement. Perhaps you want to open another thread telling us a little bit about modelbuilding and flying indeed in Romanie, or perhaps if Vincent accepts you are doing it just here.

Have fun

I can't weld the alu tubes for the cockpit. I tried so many ways but doesn't work. I tried the epoxy too, but still nothing. |

Hi Marton,

What about the canopy we can see on one of the pictures above ?

That's not the one from your Doppi ?

Otherwise, what is your problem with the welding ? What are you using ?

Maybe the tube or what you are using to weld is not appropriated

Let us know, Vincent is now a master welder !

Ooppss sorry, missed a part !

If you are using aluminium tubes, that harder to weld together without the right tools.

As Vincent suggested, brass tube are much more easier to sold together !

But as Stepahn said, I too can confirm that you can glue alu tubes together with epoxy. Hold the tubes together before gluing with a wire (or wooden pins) inside the tube junctions.

Hope this help.

Don't forget to take a fast one (5 minutes) otherwise it will flow away from the place where it should stay. Perhaps you add also some microballons ( do not know the right english term, something to make epoxy thicker)

Hi Marton,

You can use any paint with Oracover.

For me, I go to the DIY store and take any paint. Usually I take the "one coat" type paint. No need for car paint and so on, "normal" wall paint do it.
