CVV - 4 Pellicano

Hi All,

after having concluded my Bocian, I start the design of a new glider, the CVV 4 Pellicano an Italian 15m sailplane. I decide for ¼ scale, my design follow the construction method used by Vincent for MG9, I would like to try all plywood construction. Now I have concluded the drawing of fuselage, and also the project of the wing is quite at the end. Here my fuselage project and some photo of full scale glider.

the construction of my Pellicano is started, first I make an order to easy CNC for cuttings the ribs, than I cut the various pieces of fuselage and start the work for the stabilizer that now is concluded. The next step is the fuselage.

The structure of fuselage is quite finish now I have to start with cockpit and the control system of horizontal tail and then the covering with plywood.

thanks, but unfortunately my work is not so good as your work on your Musger MG9, you are so precise in the junction of various plywood panels and I really I do not understand how you can do this perfect junction.

No problem, that's realistic like this, full size had same look

very Nice work Roberto, you can obtain better junctions of the panels with cutting templates prior to the cutting of the panels themselves to fit them perfectly but not too much ( it's a long work but no waste of plywood and more precise work) .
Avoid to sand too much the junction of the panels. It is worth bevelling carefully the panels and then you can determine the gap between them and there's almost no need to sand .
